The difference between Fast-walking wire and slow-walking wire cutting mold
As the most commonly used and basic equipment in the stamping die processing industry, the wire-cutting machine tool is believed to be familiar to stamping die practitioners. However, many people have not been able to distinguish between fast-walking wire cutting and slow-walking wire cutting. Here I will introduce you in detail.
First, the wire speed is different.
In the wire-cutting machine tool, the fast-walking wire and slow-walking wire are distinguished according to the wire speed when the electrode wire is working.
The wire speed of fast walking wire walking is generally 300-700m/min. The wire speed of slow-wire walking is generally 3-15m/min.
Second, the electrode wire materials are different.
The molybdenum wire is generally used as the electrode wire of the fast-walking wire, and the diameter of the molybdenum wire is generally 0.1-0.2mm. The slow-walking wire electrode wire generally adopts cooper wire or other metal-coated wire, and the wire diameter is 0.03-0.035mm.
Third, the working fluid is different.
The requirements for fast walking wire walking are not too strict, and the working fluid generally uses emulsion. The working fluid of slow-walking wire walking is deionized water or kerosene, and it needs to be equipped with a filtration system to continuously filter impurities in the working fluid during production.
Fourth, the accuracy is different.
Since the fast-walking wire uses the recycling electrode wire, the machine’s accuracy is affected by the continuous wear of the electrode wire. The tolerance of fast-walking wire is +/-0.015-0.02mm.
The slow-walking wire’s electrode wire is not recycled, which greatly improves the processing accuracy, and the tolerance is+/-0.002mm.
Fifth, the cost is different.
Fast-walking wire-cutting machine tools are more common, with lower technical content, most manufacturers use this tool and the price is cheaper, and the processing efficiency is high, the processing cost is low.
In the price comparison of perforation, and mold dies, the price can have a $2000 difference between fast-walking wire and slow-walking wire.
